Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our residential trash can cleaning process, home utility access, runoff handling, and payment options.

What do I need to prepare before cleaning day?

Prior to providing our service, we will confirm the location of your exterior electrical outlet and exterior water spigot. Please ensure your garbage cans are empty, unlocked, and accessible on your service day.

How long does the cleaning process take?

A standard cleaning usually takes between 15 to 45 minutes per bin, depending on the number of cans and the level of grime or buildup.

What happens if I miss garbage pickup and my cans are full?

Because we sanitize and pressure wash the interior surfaces of your cans, bins must be mostly empty. We can remove minimal trash, perform the cleaning, and then place your trash back in your receptacle.

If your trash was not picked up, please notify us as soon as possible so we can reschedule your visit for a later date. If we arrive and find the can(s) full, we will reach out within 24 hours to reschedule.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We operate safely in mild rain, but severe storms, lightning, or freezing temperatures can create safety hazards. In the event of dangerous weather, we will contact you immediately to reschedule your cleaning for the next available day.

How do you handle water runoff and eco safety?

Per guidance from the City of Washington Public Works department, our runoff is absorbed on site because our cleaning products are completely environmentally friendly and safe for pets and lawns. If a job will produce exceptionally dirty runoff, we utilize a wet/dry vac to extract the wastewater and safely dispose of it at an authorized local facility.

What if my garbage cans are excessively dirty?

We tackle tough odors, stubborn residues, and grease. If heavy sludge or extreme buildup requires extra effort, we use specialized eco-friendly solutions and our wet/dry vac extraction system to leave your bin thoroughly clean.

How will I know the service has been completed if I am not home?

You do not need to be home for your appointment. As long as we have access to your exterior water spigot and electrical outlet, we complete the job and will leave your sparkling clean bins in your designated driveway or curb location, along with a completion notification or text/call.

What plans and payment methods do you accept?

We offer both one-time deep cleanings and convenient monthly subscriptions. Monthly plans require a 2-month minimum commitment, with payment due at the first cleaning. We accept cash, check, and Cash App ($washingtoncancare).
